Poetree
This ceramic tree has 3 trunks that grow from the main one, signifying the triple goddess--woman in her 3 stages of life: maiden, mother, and crone. The crone is represented
by the third trunk which has broken and begun to decay--moss growing along its edges.
Hanging from almost every branch are ceramic leaves which each carry a line from an original poem. These lines may be read/hung in any order, on any branch, to reveal many different variations of the poem. The lines read:
--Twisted Limbs of 100 years
--gnarled knobs
--keep my secrets
--as whispering leaves
--safe
--rooted deep
--within
--comforting nooks
