Rooted Wings

Fabricated in sterling silver entirely by the artist, the root-like wire structure has a rich brown patina, while the handmade chains (cascading down the back like wings) have a clean matte finish. The 'roots' are accented with tiny polished gemstones (tourmaline, black pearl, peridot, garnet, and amber) which remind one of sunlit dewdrops. The 'wings' coalesce at the center of the lower back with a large phantom quartz crystal and a tiny white pearl hidden behind.
